How many guests can stay at Ruka Peak Chalet?
Ruka Peak Chalet accommodates small groups of up to 16 guests, allowing your group to stay together in a private and comfortable setting.
Is Ruka Peak Chalet exclusively for private groups?
Yes. Ruka Peak Chalet is designed for private group stays, giving your group the freedom to enjoy your time together in privacy.
What accommodation is available for larger groups?
For larger groups, we offer additional accommodation in luxury private villas located just 150–300 metres from Ruka Peak Chalet. Our team coordinates the entire stay for guests staying both at the Chalet and in the villas.
Can you arrange dining for our group?
Yes. Dining can be tailored around your group, from breakfast and relaxed meals to private dinners and special celebrations at Restaurant Peak.
Can you arrange activities and transportation?
Yes. Our team can coordinate activities, airport transfers, taxis and private transportation as part of your stay. We can help plan the entire programme around your group’s wishes and schedule.
Is Ruka Peak ski-in ski-out?
Yes. Ruka Peak offers direct access to the ski slopes, allowing guests to start and finish their ski day right at the Chalet. Access may vary slightly during the season depending on snow conditions and the slopes in use.

Restaurant

Is the restaurant open to non-hotel guests?

Yes, our restaurant welcomes both hotel guests and outside visitors. We recommend making a reservation, especially during peak seasons.

Do I need a table reservation?
Reservations are highly recommended, particularly for dinner service and special events.

What kind of food does Restaurant Peak serve?
Our menu combines the flavours of Lapland with Alpine inspiration. We use local ingredients and work closely with local producers. Our specialities include fondue, raclette and other dishes designed for sharing.

Sauna World

Is Sauna World always privately reserved?
Yes. Sauna World is always reserved exclusively for your group, allowing you to enjoy the smoke sauna, outdoor hot tub and atmospheric cave spaces in complete privacy.
How many guests can use Sauna World at the same time?
Sauna World is ideal for groups of up to approximately max 16 guests. For larger groups, additional sauna facilities at Ruka Peak Chalet can be arranged.
How long is a private Sauna World experience?
A private Sauna World reservation lasts three hours, giving your group plenty of time to enjoy the smoke sauna, outdoor hot tub and other facilities at your own pace.
What is included in the Sauna World reservation?
Towels, sauna hats and slippers are included. Depending on the experience you choose, your reservation can include the smoke sauna, outdoor hot tub and traditional Finnish hot tub. Drinks and light refreshments can also be arranged in advance.
Can we combine Sauna World with dinner?
Yes. Complete your sauna experience with dinner at Restaurant Peak. Our team can arrange a Sauna & Dinner experience tailored to your group.
Can we bring our own alcoholic drinks?
No. Sauna World is a licensed serving area, so guests are not permitted to bring their own alcoholic beverages. A selection of drinks is available to purchase during your sauna experience.

Hotel Facilities

Do you offer ski storage and drying facilities?
Yes, guests can store their skis and snowboards in our dedicated ski storage area and make use of drying facilities for outdoor clothing and equipment.
Do you offer parking?
Yes, complimentary parking is available for hotel guests.
Is there Wi-Fi at the hotel?
Yes, complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel.
Do you have electric vehicle charging stations?

Getting Here & Around

How do I get to Ruka Peak?

Reaching Ruka Peak is easier than you might think. Finnair operates regular direct flights between Helsinki and Kuusamo, offering smooth connections from major international destinations worldwide.

Ruka Peak is located at the top of Ruka fell, approximately 30 km from Kuusamo Airport. You can reach the hotel by car, taxi, airport transfer or public transport via Ruka Village.

We are happy to assist with transfer arrangements.

Is there a shuttle service?

While Ruka Peak does not operate a regular shuttle service, our team is happy to assist with arranging airport transfers, taxis and other transportation services to ensure a smooth stay.

How do I get to the ski slopes?
Ruka Peak offers direct access to the ski slopes. Guests can step outside and ski directly to the lifts and slopes during the winter season. Distance about 30 meters
Can I walk to the lifts?
Yes. The nearest ski lift is within walking distance from the hotel, making Ruka Peak an ideal ski-in/ski-out destination.
